The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for supporting all medical laboratory functions. This includes performing advanced testing on blood, tissue, urine, stool, amniotic fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, and other body specimens in a lab. The Technologist operates and maintains equipment to examine these samples, ensuring precise and timely results. The Medical Technologist will handle the advanced testing, quality control, troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and advanced laboratory functions. Key Responsibilities:Works in a pathology lab, preparing samples, slides, and cultures for medical pathologists to review.  Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing. Conduct routine and specialized tests in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank. Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean laboratory environment. Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with pathologists and other medical staff to interpret results and ensure quality patient care. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events. Performance of other duties as assigned.
