We are seeking residents of Austin, Brazos, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Grimes, Harris, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, Wharton, to serve as mock jurors for a mock trial on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Adult residents of Austin, Brazos, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Grimes, Harris, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, Wharton, ages 18 to 70.
Date of Mock Trial: Thursday, September 25, 2025
Hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break)
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST BE a U.S. Citizen
MUST BE an Austin, Brazos, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Grimes, Harris, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, Wharton resident for a minimum of 1 year
MUST BE 18 years of age or older
MUST HAVE a valid Texas driver’s license or Texas State I.D. showing an Austin, Brazos, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Grimes, Harris, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, Wharton County address
MUST SPEAK, READ & WRITE ENGLISH FLUENTLY
MUST BE ABLE to sit for extended periods, watch and listen to presentations on a screen, take notes, and complete forms on an iPad.
MUST HAVE a minimum High School Diploma; persons with college degrees are encouraged to participate
