Coordinate educational and research activities for grant-funded projects in the department of Health Services Research. Most activities relate to the coordination of educational programs including workshops, webinars and mentoring of trainees. Responsibilities include writing and maintenance of regulatory protocols and reports, assisting in the recruitment and enrollment of program participants, collecting evaluation surveys and interviews as needed. Maintains electronic records of all program activities, correspondence and meetings

Reviews and screens for eligibility of participants into the assigned project and obtains informed consent as needed.

Develops questionnaires in Qualtrics for participant evaluation.

Maintains database for collection of data with standards for data integrity and manipulation.

Organizes data obtained for easy retrieval and reporting purposes.

Study recruitment

Assists in the development and use of recruitment materials for participants in educational programs

Works with IT staff to develop and maintain institutional websites

Conducts outreach activities (mailings, emails, phone calls) to promote and advertise program at other institutions

Obtains informed consent if needed, and interviews physicians and program participants and conducts other related procedures as required by protocol.

Strictly adheres to the research policy policed by the M.D. Anderson Office of Research, including patient confidentiality and research procedures.

Responsible for creating, maintaining, and gathering of all project related regulatory documents, including Informed Consent Forms, protocol-related training certificates of all personnel, protocol approval letters, continuation review approval documents, sponsor issued documents, and email correspondence with other study sites, institutional IRB, and the study sponsor.

Data collection

Collects data for program evaluation (e.g., formative interviews, surveys)

Conducts and transcribes qualitative interviews.

Writes and edits texts for protocols, reports, and presentations

Assists in the preparation of teaching materials including PowerPoint and audiovisual presentations
