Detailed Description: This position is on the Integrated Mission Operations Contract (IMOC III) which provides flight control and training support to the International Space Station (ISS) Operations, Exploration, Commercial Crew Program, Gateway, xEVA and Human Landing System (HLS) within the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Flight Operations Directorate (FOD). The candidate will be assigned to the Robotics Systems Group within the EVA, Robotics, and Crew Systems Division as a programmer. Candidate must possess skills in programing with one or more of the following languages: JAVA, Python, C, C, and/or MATLAB. Any additional experience with automation and Virtual Reality is highly desired. The candidate may train to perform robotics procedure development by designing robotics maneuvers supporting Realtime operations. This is contingent on the individuals interests and the group’s needs. The candidate will interface with the NASA customer daily as well as many other engineering organizations and payload customers. The Robotics (ROBO) team is responsible for all aspects of the operation and management of the MSS robotics system hardware and software. Additional duties require supporting meetings and concisely reporting results to team-members and management, writing system briefs and console procedures, developing MCC displays, console tools, cue cards, and making oral presentations. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
