Parsons is now hiring a Senior Architectural (Revit) Designer / job captain for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects. Parsons extensive experience in this field combined with your knowledge and technical and Revit skills will propel your career forward.We need our Designers at this level to gather data, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalize them into working drawings and/or Revit models. In this role, under general direction of a licensed Architect, you will perform a variety of architectural assignments requiring a working knowledge of architecture and, professional practices, and techniques. The Designers at this level can perform most moderately complex project assignments with minimal direction. For your developmental purposes, work performed may include some complex and difficult assignments that are typically performed by higher level positions.What You'll Be Doing:

Lead small teams, Produces CAD (Revit) drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards for a variety of architectural tasks from general design information in accordance with established standards, procedures, and client requirements.

Utilizes technical manuals to ensure compliance with required codes and standards.

Coordinates work with engineering and construction team during design and occasionally at project site.

Prepares and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications as approved.

May conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts and design criteria, and prepare reports for review by a licensed Architect.

Provides technical guidance to lower level Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in architecture.

7-10+ years of relevant US experience

Proficiency in CAD (Revit) and other PC software packages associated with architecture.

Proficiency in production of Construction Documents set for permitting.

Open to US Citizens and US Persons.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, Revit model building, and presentation drawing is a plus.

Completion of NCARB Intern Development Program.

Enrollment and completion of related course in licensure track.

Previous experience leading small teams a plus.

Licensed Architect or working toward the license a plus.
