Senior Shop Operations Leader

Job Description SummaryRole is responsible for the safety, quality, delivery, cost & people of a portion of the production environment at the Level IV Jacintoport depot. The selected candidate will work cross functionally with other functions, not limited to EHS, quality, finance, HR, and engineering to exceed expectations of the customers. This role will be focused on issue resolution, team development, and attaining targets that are set from within the department, or from the enterprise.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Directly support and lead resources to accomplish targets in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development

Leverage supporting function resource pool to remove barriers and resolve issues that are present in a systematic and during anomaly events

Drive process enhancements and utilize systems to ensure goals are met to support business needs

Develop a cross-training process by working with enterprise resources to ensure production employees build skill sets required to support business needs and reduce business continuity risk.

Partner with lean resources to reduce process waste to attain best in class turnaround times that promote and support additional volume of work through the shop

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in an engineering domain plus 5 years of manufacturing or service shop experience or High School Diploma/GED plus 7-10 years of manufacturing or service shop experience

At least 5-7 years leading hourly associates, both full-time and contracted employees.

Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a proven track record to leverage data to drive decision making and to be able to articulate up in the organization and within direct organization to resolve systemic or anomaly events.

Lean Methodology training/certification

Desired Characteristics

Strong Microsoft office skills in PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
