I. Job SummarySoftware Engineer who will be responsible for developing interactive web based, mobile, and/or desktop applications. We work on latest backend technologies like NodeJS, AWS Serverless architecture, MySQL, Redis, ELK stack and are fully hosted on the Amazon cloud. This position majorly related to backend related development.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Take complete ownership of 2-3 modules in Waste Management product stack right from development stage to deployment and post release maintenance.
  • Write good quality code with thorough unit tests and high code coverage.
  • Work closely with tech leads and engineering managers for timely delivery of product features and engineering tasks.
  • Participate actively in design discussions and defining the long-term architecture of the system.
  • Work independently and solve technical problems with minimum supervision.

III. Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:
  • 4-8 years experience.
  • Proficiency in CS concepts such as Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Proficiency in

    AWS services and NodeJS.
  • Sound understanding of relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL. Exposure to NoSQL systems like Redis/Mongo DB is good to have.
  • Good understanding of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS is required.
  • Good understanding of search platform such as Elastic Search is required
  • Hands on experience in improving MySQL queries and server response time is must.
  • Good understanding of version control tools like Git, Subversion is required.
  • Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD Tools.
  • Familiarity of working with TDD in JS with the help of frameworks like Jasmine, Mocha, Chai, Karma etc. is a plus.
  • Good communication skills.
