Sr HR Service Center Technician

The Mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.Under the supervision of the HRSC Supervisor, performs work in responding to telephone inquiries, emails and problem solving of employees and retirees. Performs related work as required or assigned. This position maintains performance standards as they relate to HRSC processes and is eligible for the HRSC incentive program. Employees must maintain a 95% or better accuracy rate. Additionally, this position performs all duties at the front desk including but not limited to greeting visitors, verifying badge requests and background checks complete, vetting contractors, validating parking, data entry, checks in people for on boarding, checks in students for badging, receives and dispatches packages, prints and indexes ImageNow documents, works badge issues in HR helpdesk, gives directions within building, assists with job application computersKey Functions:

Call Center Functions

Tracks and records employee and retiree inquiries. Provides problem solving to employee and retiree inquiries. Logs calls and documents inquiries Responds to myHR email inquiries Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Complete special projects in a timely manner adhering to deadlines. Responsible for myHR calls and emails Assists walk in clients with all other HR related questions (benefits, separations, new hire process etc). Working knowledge of health insurance and/or any other insurance product Assist employees with training course registration via myHR. Handle inquiries regarding employee status in training program Assist employees with cancellation of training enrollment Assist callers with Employee Service Award reception Activate Performance Reward Cards Assists callers with basic HR Generalist inquiries

Front Reception Desk

Greets, welcomes and assists all walk in HR visitors. Answers HR phones and directs calls Validates visitor parking for applicable onboarding candidates, and other HR guests. Completes contingent worker vetting process

Badge Room Operations

Creates ID badges for employees and contingent workers. Maintains all HR badge requests via PeopleSoft self-service, and Outlook.This position requires sitting at a desk, using a personal computer, keyboard, scanner, fax and copier, headset and answering the phone; occasional lifting or moving equipment less than 20 pounds. Requires interpersonal interaction with various levels of management and employeesand general public, which may be stressful. Maintains business professional attire and presentation; wears identification badge.EducationRequired: High school diploma or equivalent.ExperienceRequired: Four years of administrative, clerical or related work. With preferred degree, no experience required.Preferred: 2 years of HR or call center experience. Knowledge of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center operations is preferred. An understanding of principles and practices of customer service and call centers. Previous benefit and/or KRONOS experience is a plus.
