DescriptionAs a Technical Trainer on the AWS Cloud Institute team, your primary focus will be leading engaging training sessions that educate and empower our learners. You will be responsible for delivering instructor-led courses covering the foundations of AWS cloud computing, cloud operations, Python development, and introductions to generative AI.You will facilitate interactive classes, answer questions, and provide personalized guidance to help learners master complex technical concepts. Building a sense of community among the student body will be just as important as imparting knowledge. You will collaborate with the curriculum team to review and refine training materials, to meet the evolving needs of our learners and ever-changing world of cloud technology and AI.Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as you will be interacting with a diverse array of students from varying backgrounds. The ability to break down sophisticated cloud and programming topics into clear, easy-to-understand terms is critical. Prior experience teaching technical subject matter, whether in a classroom or web conferencing setting, is highly preferred.Most importantly, you should have a genuine passion for education and a desire to help our learners achieve their career goals. Design and deliver highly engaging, instructor-led training sessions covering foundational AWS cloud concepts, cloud operations, Python development, and introductions to generative AI
Utilize best practices in learning theory to facilitate interactive class discussions, answer student questions, and provide personalized guidance
Provide continuous feedback on course materials to keep pace with the rapid evolution of cloud technologies and AI, incorporating student feedback to enhance the learning experience
Collaborate with the curriculum development team to review and refine training content, lesson plans, and hands-on labs
Foster a strong sense of community among learners by encouraging collaboration, providing encouragement, and creating an inclusive learning environment
Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex technical topics into clear, easy-to-understand terms
Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS services, Python programming, and generative AI developments to maintain subject matter expertise
Assist with the creation of supporting training resources, such as instructional videos and other training materials
Provide exceptional student support, ensuring all learners receive the guidance they need to achieve their goals

5+ years of experience in a combination of the following areas: Architecture, IT system design, operations, programming, AI/ML, or advanced technical training (not application level training)
Associate level certification or 2+ years of experience with one of the major cloud providers -
Experience leading presentations, public speaking, or classroom training for related technology and products or services.
Technical Degree (i.e. Computer Science, Information Systems) or relevant work experience
Demonstrate a general understanding of various IT concepts (e.g. Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, Security)
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services
Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content.
Recent coding experience, ideally Python
Experience with Windows and Linux at the command line.
Demonstrated understanding of generative AI concepts

The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
