Hiring Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanics in Hobbs, NMWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, primarily Caterpillar (CAT) and Komatsu. This role requires extensive travel to different job sites to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.Pay:
$35.00hr - $42.00hr (based on experience/opportunity for advancement) + per diem
Salary heavily depending on specific experience w CAT heavy equipment. Per diem breakdown: per diem units per days worked.
This is a long term opportunity. After 6 months, opportunity to relocate OR an agreed upon rotational shift
Shift:
1st shift, Monday-Saturday, 7:00AM-5:00PM

Job Description:
Diagnose and Repair: Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment and perform necessary repairs.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on CAT and Komatsu equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Customer Service: Interact with clients and operators to understand equipment issues and provide effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or earthmoving repair PREFERRED
Must have experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
Experience with hydraulics, electrical, engine, and transmission repair
Must own tools (significant amount)
