About the Position:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time In-Home Caretaker to provide essential support for a bedridden elderly patient. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling patient mobility and assisting with toileting needs. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Mobility: Assist with moving, repositioning, and transferring the bedridden patient using safe and proper techniques.
Toileting Assistance: Provide support with toileting needs, ensuring the patient's comfort and dignity.
Personal Care: Help with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Medication Reminders: Ensure the patient takes prescribed medications on time.
Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance the patient's quality of life.
Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks related to the patient's care, such as changing bed linens and maintaining a clean environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in a similar caregiving role, particularly with bedridden patients.
Skills: Ability to safely move and handle patients, with knowledge of proper body mechanics.
Compassion: A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not required.
