We are a small but busy and growing company specializing in the fabrication and occasionally installation of custom miscellaneous metals including railings, handrails, ladders, and small warehouse loading dock stairs. We work with multiple metal types including steel, stainless steel and aluminum. We have been in business for 18+ years.
We are looking to add several high energy, hardworking welder/shop helpers to our team. These positions will be mostly shop-based work, but will include some field installation and short term travel. Starting pay is $14/hour with potential for advancement as skills grow. We train many of our employees to weld during their time as a welder helper and over time, they are able advance to welding positions.
For the welder helper position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
be able to read a tape measure
have experience using basic power tools such as a grinder, saw, drill etc.
be able to lift 30-50 lbs
be able to tolerate working in an environment that is not climate controlled in Houston weather
have at least 1 yr experience in a construction or fabrication related work environment with a relevant skillset
be able to pass a drug test (upon hire and random)
have reliable transportation to our shop and occasionally other greater Houston locations
be able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Starting pay is $14/hour with potential for advancement as skills grow. Full time position with occasional overtime.
