Busy personal injury department seeks highly motivated case manager or paralegal to work in a fast-paced environment – remotely or from our Lafayette, CA office. Competitive compensation plus bonuses for a job well done.

You will be directly assisting attorneys with all phases of personal injury matters, including the review of routine and moderately complex liability and bodily injury claims, as well as providing superb service to ensure the prompt and equitable resolution of cases.

This position requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. Candidate must be a team player and be good with numbers, as well as proactive, detail-oriented, and work well independently. Applicants must have experience in claims, negotiations, litigation, and lien resolution in the personal injury field. Bilingual and multilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Duties:

- Evaluate bodily injury claims;

- Communicate with clients and medical providers throughout the process;

- Identify potential issues that can either enhance or reduce the case value;

- Review, summarize, and understand legal documents and medical records;

- Proactively pursue settlement strategies;

- Maintain workflow by ensuring prompt and accurate handling of assigned cases;

- Correspond with clients, providers, and insurance companies;

- Communicate with court departments;

- Assist with responding to and propounding discovery;

- Assist with deposition and trial preparation; and

- Maintain accurate records and handle administrative responsibilities associated with processing case disbursement.

Work Experience Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a personal injury case manager or paralegal (either plaintiff or defense side);

- Ability to maintain professionalism while handling communication with clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel;

- Ability to meet deadlines;

- Excellent computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary and Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience.
