The Lloyd Company is a machine shop (job shop) looking for an experienced Lathe CNC Machinist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Preview routers, drawings, and work instructions to obtain a thorough understanding of the work to be performed.
Setup CNC machines, carefully following work instructions.
Prove out setup by executing programs in a safe mode (dry-run), validate tool paths and tool settings to anticipate collisions or crashes.
Make necessary measurements to confirm parts conform to requirements.
Focus on the cutting process: monitoring tool movements, listening to machine and cutting sounds, and observing part security.
Refresh cutting tools as necessary to insure proper operation and prevent damage to parts.
Utilize cycle time to make additional quality checks and remove burrs created during the operation.
Report all deviations to the Team Leader as they occur.
Document and save all program changes and notations.
Report machine malfunctions and repair needs to the Team Leader
Keep work area clean and personal toolbox orderly.
Keep machine clean and perform daily maintenance duties.
REQUIREMENTS
High School education or equivalent as deemed sufficient by management.
At least five years CNC Lathe experience or as deemed sufficient by management.
Have own tools and toolbox (mics, indicators, calipers, etc)
Pre-employment drug screen
PUMA (21IT control) and Mori Seiki (6TB Control) experience preferred.
Programming experience preferred.
SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday (weekends optional)
40+ hour weeks
