Embry General Contractors is a growing construction services company that specializes in the installation of residential cabinets in Texas and south Louisiana (the “Service Area”). We are looking for a new independent contractor team member to fill the role of Cabinet Assessment Technician.

The Cabinet Assessment Technician will perform jobsite visits, take detailed as‐built measurements for use in cabinet design, and assess warranty claims. This is an “in‐the‐field” position that will require driving, sometimes long distances, between jobsites and occasional over‐night trips.

Responsibilities of the Cabinet Assessment Technician include, but are not limited to:

Working independently to complete daily scheduled appointments.

Taking detailed measurements of as‐bult conditions for use in cabinet design.

Driving, sometimes long distances, between projects throughout service area.

Ensuring all measurements are accurately taken, documented clearly, and transmitted to the office immediately upon completion.

Adhering to scheduled appointment times, maintaining good communication with the office, and carrying all necessary tools to obtain detailed and accurate measurements.

Performing site assessments for warranty purposes.

Qualifications

Dependable and able to work independently without direct supervision or direction.

Able to arrive and complete work at the time of a scheduled appointment.

Neat and professional in both appearance and work habits.

Able to communicate in a timely and professional manner.

Able to take accurate measurements with appropriate tools (tape measure, laser distance measurer, levels, angle finders, etc.) and record neat, detailed notes and sketches.

Able to follow all field procedures and work processes as well as safety guidelines.

Able to provide exceptional customer service, remain friendly, calm, polite, courteous, and professional at all times.

Able to listen to and communicate effectively with co‐workers, subcontractors, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a criminal background check. No felonies, DWIs, or DUIs will be accepted.

Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.

Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Must have a reliable and appropriate vehicle capable of making small deliveries with appropriate insurance.
