Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Master Carpenter with strong skills in export crating and warehouse operations. This role involves hands-on carpentry, managing custom crating projects, and ensuring all export and packaging standards are met efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will also have experience estimating and quoting crating jobs accurately and competitively.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, design, and assemble custom export crates for various materials and products.
Manage and oversee all crating operations in the warehouse.
Measure, cut, and assemble wood structures using precision tools.
Ensure crates meet international shipping and export requirements.
Prepare and quote estimates for crating, materials, and labor.
Maintain inventory of materials and tools.
Operate forklifts safely to move and load large or heavy crates.
Supervise and assist warehouse staff when needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in export crating and warehouse operations.
Strong carpentry and woodworking skills.
Knowledge of export packing standards and materials.
Experience quoting and estimating crating projects.
Some forklift experience required (certification a plus).
Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Team-oriented with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
