We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting components according to specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to assemble components accurately.
· Fit and assemble structural frameworks and housings
· Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
· Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using square, ruler, and measuring tape.
· Tack-weld fitted parts together using MIG process.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience with welding techniques, particularly tack welding with MIG 0.35 wire.
· Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in an industrial environment.
· Proven experience as a fitter in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
· Proficiency with hand and power tools used in fitting and assembly.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various positions.
