Patio Pools of Houston is a commercial swimming pool and fountain design & build firm who has been in business for more than 45 years. We operate solely in Texas with some projects built in other major Texas cities. Our continued success has created a need for a construction foreman/supervisor.
Just like most small companies, its employees wear many hats. The person awarded the position will learn and assume responsibility of the following activities:
+ Supervise crews, Visit job sites, Inspect work
+ Comply and enforce company policies and procedures with an emphasis in safety
+ Read, understand and build according to construction plans
+ Meet with job site superintendents or owners, communicate progress and issues
+ Maintain project schedules; Ensures timely completion of projects
+ Coordinate with other trades
+ Layout a swimming pool, build simple wood forms
+ Shoot grades with optical level and laser level
+ Materials takeoffs & ordering
+ Material pickup for delivery to employees at jobsite
+ Complete written forms (daily reports, safety, etc.)
+ Occasional miscellaneous construction tasks
+ Coordinate by phone on some Saturdays;
+ Occasional drive to other city and return home on same day or stay 1-3 nights.
Requirements:
+ Must have construction management experience
+ Must have good organizational skills and aptitude in math
+ Must have good verbal & written communication skills in English
+ Must have basic computer skills
+ Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing
+ Must be at least 25 years of age
+ Prefer multi-family construction experience
+ Must have dependable transportation
+ Must be able to meet all physical requirements
+ Daily work starts at 7:00AM
+ Multi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
+ Experience operating a skid steer and mini-excavator is a plus
+ This position requires 10% travel, which typically includes an overnight stay in Texas
+ Foreman will be provided a company truck and mobile phone
We offer training and a competitive payment commensurate with experience. Health insurance is not provided.
