Greet and escort patients to examining room; make them feel welcome and comfortablePrepare patient for exams; obtain urine specimens, check vital signs, document symptoms, complaints & medicationsEnsure the patient's demographic information is correct and updatedEvaluate calls for emergencies and triage appropriatelyCoordinate and schedule physician's appointments, meetings, etc.Assist the physician, residents and fellows with exams and proceduresGive injections and/or teach the patient to administer injections to selfAssist patient with obtaining lab slips and/or referrals, scheduling procedures, prescriptions, etc.Educate patients on healthcare concerns & problems, office & hospital procedures, medications, testing, etc.Cooperate and interact with team members and coworkersMaintain a safe environment for patients and othersMaintain patient confidentialityMaintain patient flowFollow HIPAA guidelines.Other duties as required
