JOB SUMMARYLocation BSWH Irving Medical Center Irving TXDepartment LaboratoryShift Day Monday - Thursday 10:00am - 8:30pmPreferred Experience Must have one of the following agencies certifications: PBT, ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA with at least 2 yrs of experience in a hospital setting. Must be able to work at least 4 shifts per month and at least 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per year.The Phlebotomist 2 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Assists with training and auditing of behaviors and performance, as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Follows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.
Responsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.
Performs job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.
