Landscaper performs routine lawn maintenance duties including grass cutting, lawn edging, and weed pulling for commercial and municipal customers. One year of lawn maintenance is preferred but not required.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Drives company vehicle transporting crew members to job sites.
Follows written and verbal instructions from lead to maintain lawns.
Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
Mowing, edging, liter pick-up and weed eating of turf areas using hand power or riding mower.
Mix and spray or spread fertilizer, herbicides or insecticides onto grass, shrubs and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
Trims shrubs, and small trees using manual tools such as weed eater or edger.
Pull tall weeds and nurture smaller weeds using lawn care products.
Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles.
Adheres to all safety precautions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Uses equipment, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and edger's.
May Lift up to 50 pounds and handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing.
Communicates effectively.
Works well independently and with a team.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
At least one year of landscaping experience is preferred, but not required.
Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must be over 21 years old. (for insurance purposes)
