Job Duties
. Tend to the surrounding grounds by cutting grass, , mulching, raking, and trimming bushes, shrubs, flowers, plants, and trees.
. Use gardening hand tools to cut or trim, shrubs, and plants.
. Operate larger powered machinery and equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, weed eaters, and clippers.
. May pot and transplant shrubs, plants, flowers, and trees.
. Sweep and tidy work areas to maintain cleanliness.
Skills / Abilities
. Manual Dexterity - This job requires the repeated and coordinated use of your arms, hands, wrists, and fingers to use handheld tools and manually weed plants, etc.
. Oral Comprehension - Demonstrated ability to follow verbal instructions and ideas.
Physical Strength – This job requires that you are physically able to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., potted plants and shrubs).
. Noise Level - The noise level will range from quiet to loud. If you are working near powered equipment or machinery (you will be exposed to loud noises)
. Amount of Movement –This job typically requires that you stand for long periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor. You will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items for this job.
. Able to work outdoors for several hours of the day, in all weather conditions.
. Valid Drivers license with a clean driving record. (drivers must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes)
. Work Hours- This job will range from short to long working shifts. Landscape workers/groundskeepers work during the day, typically between 7:00 am to 5pm.
. We work Monday- Friday (No weekends)
