DescriptionThis is a combined posting for an Associate Patient Access Representative , Patient Access Representative, and Senior Patient Access Representative. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. If you have the qualifications of any one of these three positions, we encourage you to apply.Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Associate Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration.Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions. This individual completes the registration for unscheduled visits by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes.Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Senior Patient Access Representative has a clear understanding and knowledge of all functions performed by Patient Access. They are responsible for but not limited to assisting patients during the registration process for scheduled and unscheduled visits. This individual has the knowledge to complete the registration process by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, obtain prior authorizations as needed, insurance notifications, complete the financial clearance and collect patient liability (if known) before or at the time of service.Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. 2 years Registration experience.

Experience with Epic system.

1 year Healthcare experience within Patient Access of Business office setting. Experience with insurance eligibility systems.

Preferred qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.

1 year Knowledge of Epic Applications

Associate Patient Access Representative, Salary Range:Min: $14.51, Max: $22.17Senior Patient Access RepresentativeRequired qualifications:

5 years Healthcare experience within Patient Access or Business office setting.

Preferred qualifications:

Associate's Degree

Bachelor's Degree Healthcare or Business Administration. Or equivalent educ/experience. Certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), or related certification.
