Description Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerks who are self-starting and detail-oriented will be excited about this opportunity! This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Midland, Texas area. A growing Energy/Natural Resources company is partnering with Robert Half to find an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk to join their accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties will be to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This position is for candidates who are looking for career growth potential, and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.Responsibilities
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers
Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Verify codes and documents
Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP
Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues
Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders Requirements - Current and relevant ERP system experience
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Proficiency in Open Invoice
Peachtree Sage experience highly desired
Ariba experience preferred
Data entry experience required
