Field Electronic TechnicianMidland, TX, USAOdessa, TX, USA Req #1858 Monday, June 17, 2024 POSITION SUMMARYUnder minimal supervision, the Electronics Technician I exhibits basic safety and repair procedures on company equipment, using a multimeter and precision tools, measuring equipment and basic operations to include but not limited to : performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting sensors, cables, controls and power distributions systems on NexTier equipment. Skills are typically acquired by completion of the competency requirements.Key AccountabilitiesPerform and complete all essential functions required of Level I Electronic TechniciansAble to Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)Knowledge of Engine / Transmission Diagnostic SoftwarePerform Instrumentation PM with light supervisionPerform emergency repairs with light supervisionRepair and maintain 12 and 24 vdc systems with light supervision.Knowledge to troubleshoot complete power distribution systemsPossess general knowledge of cable building and able to repair damaged cableKnowledge of procedures and calibration software / adapters and are able to replace and calibrate all sensorsKnowledge of troubleshooting of all sensorsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and are able to replace hydraulic and pneumatic components with supervisionKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic schematicsKnowledge of control systems and ability to read schematicsKnowledge of engine / transmission electronics and able to read schematics.Knowledge of networks and equipment and are able to troubleshoot network and equipment problems.Able to replace network and equipment components and are able to read network schematicsGeneral knowledge of navigation through control softwareKnowledge of upgrade installation and are able to assist in installation of upgrades.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to read, write and speak English to the extent that they are able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English; and the ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job related calculations.Must participate in all company provided training.Must meet Competency Task List requirements for job role and complete Equipment Maintenance Task List.Requires maintained eligibility to drive company vehicles.Performs work on his / her own as well as provides assistance to other employees as directed.Perform all duties in compliance with Customer and Company policies and procedures and applicable regulations.Minimum Required EducationDiploma or - RequiredAssociate's Degree - PreferredMinimum Required Work ExperienceMinimum of 1 year - RequiredLicenses and CertificationsValid Driver's License - RequiredCommercial Driver's License - PreferredOther detailsJob Family MaintenanceJob Function ElectronicsPay Type HourlyMidland, TX, USAOdessa, TX, USAShare this job :
