Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Odessa, Texas. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Facilitate the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer credit records. Handle customer inquiries and resolve them promptly. Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary. Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial data is captured accurately. Manage the process of invoicing and ensure all invoices are sent out in a timely manner. Utilize software such as Open Invoice and Ariba to streamline accounting tasks. Employ skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Provide support to the front desk as needed, including answering phone calls and greeting incoming visitors. Perform coding tasks related to financial transactions. Requirements Proficient in account reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with billing procedures Competency in data entry tasks Ability to process invoices effectively Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with Oracle software Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software Familiarity with SAP software Experience with Open Invoice software Knowledge of Ariba software Ability to handle high-volume invoicing tasks Experience or knowledge in the energy or natural resources industry preferred Excellent organizational skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
