Aerotek is Hiring a Generator Mechanic in Monahans, TX Job Description: Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and be responsible for run time, mechanical, and electrical systems of generators Preventative maintenance on industrial natural gas and diesel generators (5.7L to 21.9L in engine size). Basic maintenance items include: o Monthly oil change, spark plug change, oil and air filters, overhead valve adjustments, checking batteries, washing of radiators o Load bank testing Repair and maintenance of the following engine and electrical system components: o Engine fuel systems o Cooling systems o Air injection systems (turbos, manifolds, etc.) o Generator control panel troubleshooting o Generator ends: diagnose 480V electrical output, check diodes, replace/tune automatic voltage regulators Qualifications: - Mechanically Inclined- Diesel tech background or heavy equipment mechanic background- Electrical experience Stay reasonably informed of industry-wide safety practices, mechanic's education, and develop or maintain any skill needed to properly perform the requirements of your servicesExpectations: Effectively follow and timely execute on maintenance and repair work orders issued by management Demonstrate exceptional technical skill with mechanical and electrical systems on generators with high attention to detail and follow through until completion Demonstrate exceptional communication to team members that is both respectful, clear, and frequent.
