Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant in Plano, Texas. As an Accountant, you'll be responsible for handling both our Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of transactions. You'll also be involved in general accounting tasks, including assisting with month-end closing activities.Responsibilities Assisting in the accurate and timely entry of customer remittances and vendor bills. Analyzing outstanding receivables by running aging reports on a weekly basis. Communicating with customers regarding late payments and coordinating follow-up actions. Resolving payment discrepancies and issues with customers. Preparing and dispatching invoices and statements to customers. Keeping detailed records of all interactions and transactions with customers. Managing outbound and inbound freight transactions data entry. Resolving discrepancies with received bills by interacting with vendors. Preparing and processing payments to vendors as per agreed terms. Reconciling vendor statements and managing the AP aging report. Keeping up-to-date records of all interactions and transactions with vendors. Assisting with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations. Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles. Providing necessary documentation and information to support audits. Contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracyRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial. Mastery of Accounting Functions is required. Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary. Proficiency in Auditing is expected.
