We are seeking an experienced project engineer to support our growing team focused on embedded board design, analog and digital circuit and power supply engineering.The AvionX team is a large multi-discipline team working together to design, procure, integrate and produce the avionics for multiple product lines. Our engineers specialize in the full development lifecycle of hardware including requirements analysis, design, build, integration, test, certification, and production. The AvionX group within Boeing specializes in bringing new ideas to market on both Commercial and Defense aircraft platforms.This position will be focused on the organization’s current efforts around embedded hardware development. A successful candidate will need to be able to provide engineering leadership in embedded product development, system integration, compliance with requirements and support production.The selected candidate will have prior experience in product development design and leading cross functional teams. You are a self-motivated individual with a desire to work on developing Avionics solutions of today and tomorrow.Position Responsibilities:
Provide engineering leadership in key development, production and research areas.
Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for areas of responsibility.
Lead project execution over life of project.
Performs risk, issues and opportunity management for projects.
Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Supports fielded hardware and software as required over the entire product lifecycle.
Help lead/integrate emerging technologies for future product designs to advance applications to meet company business needs.
Represent project(s) as prime point of contact between organizations and programs
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Plano location.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
9+ years of experience in engineering
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Engineering leadership experience
Experience/knowledge of responsibilities & tasks performed by various engineering disciplines.
Experience/Knowledge of engineering design, development, and production processes.
Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
Technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Typical Education/Experience:Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
