Description As an Analyst within the Securities Based Lending (SBL) Team within Asset & Wealth Management, you will be responsible for underwriting credit facilities secured by marketable securities.The Securities Based Lending (SBL) team within Asset & Wealth Management is a center of excellence designed to handle a high volume of lower risk credit transactions including Loans, Letters of Credit and Derivatives, all fully secured by high quality marketable securities with standard loan documentation. The Team is responsible for enhancing the client experience by facilitating swift credit approvals and expediting delivery of loan documentation. The group combines a focus on credit worthiness along with evaluation of collateral holdings as part of the underwriting process.Job Responsibilities
Partner with the internal stakeholders through the lifecycle of the credit request and ongoing management of the portfolio
Prepare the analysis of a client prior to underwriting, assessing collateral, and overall preparation for grading and pricing the loan
Analyze client data across multiple systems and preliminary review of credit
Prepare and Review loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with federal and local regulations
Hybrid Model: 3 days onsite, with flexibility to choose weekdays. Initial training may require aligning with the team's schedule.Work Hours: Regular 9 AM - 5 PM, no planned overtimeInterview Process: Up to 2 rounds via ZoomRequirements Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Economics
Open to recent graduates
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Working knowledge of the Financial Markets and their asset vehicles including, but not limited to Mutual Funds, Equities, Fixed Income and Municipal Bonds
Strong communication skills
Solid credit underwriting experience
Familiarity with a range of investments
Understanding of trades
Preferred Qualifications:Candidates with the following experience will stand out:
Previous experience in securities or portfolio management
Financial licenses
