This position will direct and manage strategic planning, software development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of a suite of application systems and solutions focusing on the CarMax Auctions business. This role involves developing long and short-term technology solutions to achieve business goals and improve profitability, efficiency, and the associate experience at CarMax.Carmaxauctions.com is a trusted online platform used by thousands of dealer customers to preview and buy wholesale vehicles. At CarMax, we understand that customer discovery and motivation are crucial for user satisfaction and, ultimately, making a sale. Our website utilizes Azure, .NET, React, and other software capabilities to provide a vehicle preview and purchase experience that is best in class.This position will be responsible for vehicle input, conditioning, and the preview process. The position will also be responsible for auction event setup and the day-of-auction experience.Position Requirements:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
BS/BA degree - Technology related, preferred
7+ years of experience in Technology with 5+ years of application systems development and implementation
3+ years’ experience managing direct reports
3+ years’ experience at a large online company (preferably ecommerce)
Experience in Front-end technologies, platforms, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing is a plus.
3+ years of experience required leading software projects leveraging Agile practices, required
