Software Engineer

DESCRIPTION:Duties: Participate in the entire Software Development Life Cycle including gathering business requirements, writing stories, planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Develop new rest APIs and consumption of SOAP calls. Involved in the design and development of the automated testing tools. Perform code reviews, root cause analysis, debugging, and fix defects on software. Analyze, enhance, and maintain a complex in-memory reporting system responsible for generating reports for the institutional clients. Analyze, enhance, and maintain a suite of web. Formulate design and implementation requirements in the system following coding best practices and utilizing Object-Oriented programming and design patterns concepts. Engage in test-driven development. Build and release management using scripting technologies. Package and deploy code using advanced deployment tools such as spinnaker/Jenkins to production environments. Support the system with business users and communicate ideas clearly and concisely to non-technical users of the system. Mentor new team members and provide high level project estimates.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Systems Engineer, Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Postgres databases; Java advanced topics including multi-threading executor's framework, Streams, Reflections, Generics, and collection framework; SQL; Stored procedures; Oracle or similar relational database; Application deploying in Cloud technologies including Kubernetes and Docker; JavaScript including React JS and Redux; analyzing, maintaining, and developing server-side scripts from UNIX commands using Linux; packaging and deploying code using deployment tools including Jenkins, Maven, and Tomcat to production environments; designing patterns; Object Oriented Programming; Best practices of coding; Junit; Mockito; working across the Software Development Lifecycle of product development, including requirements gathering; Functional and Technical Design; User Acceptance Testing; Release Procedures; Change request analysis; production support; EJB; Struts; Prime faces applications; Blazemeter; Spring Boot; Hibernate; MongoDB; Cassandra; leading small project teams.Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024.
