Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS Day to day support of the servers and systems and handling remote support where needed including Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft SQL, file servers; Exchange 2019 and hybrid configuration with O365 Exchange Online; and other applications as needed; limited SQL support. Coordination, planning and communication of IT projects as well as documentation of any changes to the server systems. Manage vendors for outsourced services and projects. Design, develop, and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity process, procedures, and infrastructure as well as actively participate in Disaster Recovery exercises. Work closely and support the Network, Systems, and Applications teams to better support server hardware, software, and applications. Maintain and support security policy and procedures. Be on call to support the infrastructure as needed. Identify and plan preventive maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, patch management, and firmware upgrades. Working with both end users and all members of the IT staff. Support of anti-virus, web filtering, email filtering, endpoint security tiers. Design, develop, and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity process, procedures, and infrastructure as it relates to the Information Security Program, well as actively participate in Disaster Recovery exercises. Work closely and support the Senior Network Analyst and the Application’s team to provide deep security layers around server hardware, software, and applications. Identify and plan preventive maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, patch management, and firmware upgrades. Working with both end users and all members of the IT staff. Develops, monitors, and reports on information security performance metrics (such as threat level, vulnerability level, problem resolution time, etc.) Identifies areas of non-compliance and makes recommendations for achieving compliance. Keeps updated on IT security regulation changes and new developments in the IT security environment. Occasional travel may be required. Ensures there are no repeat IS security related findings from regulatory and 3rd party exams. Other duties as assigned.The engineer will be responsible for monitoring and support of the Servers, SANs/NASs (EMC Unity and NetApp), Virtual Systems infrastructure and associated technologies at the production location in Sugar Land, as well as support the alternate location in the Lubbock area. We strongly support cross training inside the IT Department so that member can learn from one and another as well as benefit the support team.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 7+ yrs. Enterprise Data Center and Server experience 7+ yrs. Enterprise Windows Administration7+ yrs. Microsoft infrastructure technologies (DNS, DHCP, DFS) specifically relating to multiple data centers and fault tolerance.7+ yrs. Backup and Recovery systems7+ yrs. Enterprise network monitoring 5+ yrs. Microsoft Exchange or equivalent5+ yrs. Citrix XenApp and/or XenDesktop or VMware Horizons5+ yrs. SPAM filtering systems4+ yrs. Data Center virtualization 3+ yrs. SQL Administration2+ yrs. Load Balancers 2+ yrs. Managing Azure Active Directory1+ yrs. SIEM, preferably Alert Logic or similar1+ yrs. Nexpose, Rapid 7 Vulnerability scanners Requirements - Applicants who have experience with virtualization and containerization are preferred

Command of Data Center Infrastructure

Adeptness in System Security

Strong familiarity with Active Directory

PowerShell Scripting experience

Experience with Desktop Virtualization

VMware experience desired

3+ years of relevant experience - Applicants who have experience with automation software are preferred

This position will be the best fit for a candidate with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks

Candidates experience with monitoring systems will be the best fit for this position

If you have solid scripting skills, you will be strongly preferred for this position

Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems is required for success at this position
