Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Branch/Retail Banking Clerk in Richardson, Texas. This role is crucial in providing retail banking products and services to customers. The Branch/Retail Banking Clerk will handle a wide range of duties including processing customer requests, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring compliance with industry laws, regulations, and company policies. Responsibilities: Accurately process customer transactions, such as opening or updating accounts and cash transactions. Develop new business opportunities with current and potential customers. Provide excellent customer service both on the phone and during branch visits. Inform customers about promotions, contests, and new account options. Identify the needs of current and potential customers and offer appropriate products and services. Promote cross-selling of products and services to current and potential customers, including joint calls with other departments. Participate in community events to increase bank visibility and develop business opportunities. Record all transactions promptly and accurately, ensuring they comply with bank policy and procedures. Conduct work in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure safety and soundness. Uphold Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines. Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Banking software Skills in Data Processing and handling Answering Inbound Calls Familiarity with LaserPro and Lawon ERP software Experience in Check Processing and Collection Processes Knowledge of Consumer Loans procedures Understanding of Credit terms and conditions The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Demonstrable customer service skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite software High school diploma or equivalent required, a bachelor's degree in finance or related field is preferred Previous experience in a banking or financial institution is a plus Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the team's success.
