Product Engineering will lead a team of highly skilled and talented Test Engineers, with responsibilities in managing and overseeing execution of new product development for the current business product lines at onsemi . The Product Engineering Manager will carry out the strategic plan designed to meet the goals for Project Execution, Process Improvement, Product Quality, and Product Costs, inline with overall organizational goals. This leadership role also requires intimate knowledge of digital, analog, RF test methods and test techniques, familiarity with DfT methods, and extensive experience having worked on ATE platforms.Primary responsibilities will include:
Owns execution of all products within the product line.
Intimate knowledge of Product Execution Phases for a New Product Development, spanning from whole plan commit, pre-Tapeout DfT definitions to manufacturing release at full entitlement.
Knowledge of full product development flow (Definition, Plan, Design, Validate, Qualify, Ramp).
Owns project resourcing, cost budgeting, project planning, forecasting engineering test equipment needs, and staffing programs from inception to manufacturing release, with qualified resources.
Responsible for workforce development, training, career growth plans, including identifying and building skills in critical niche areas.
Candidate is expected to be intimately familiar, well-experienced, and required to participate and actively engage with a hands-on approach in following aspects of product planning, development, and execution:
At Pre-Si Plan Commit: driving / participating in DfT reviews at various design phases, defining requirements for test to enable DfTs for max testability
At Post-Si Validation: scheduling, planning, resourcing, prioritizing, and executing to the plan on all post-silicon validation activities for certain complex and analog IPs
Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and have ability to work well with all cross-functional teams (Business, Program Management, Design, Systems, Apps teams).
Own performance reviews, year-end ranking and comp decisions, and people related discipline, PIP, and termination actions.
Responsible for documenting gaps, lessons learned, and best practices with Design / DfT teams to address on future products
Good IC and test knowledge and background, across digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal, along with knowledge of ATE platforms, DfT strategies and test methods, and test instrumentation requirements for various Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Digital tests is critical. Candidate must be familiar with protocols and industry standards for various IPs (high speed interfaces, analog and mixed-signal circuits, etc.).
