RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Security Support Engineer for our enterprise networking and cloud solutions client in Richardson, Texas (TX). Network Engineer working in Cisco TAC supporting Next Generation Firewall Security technologies that include ASA, FTD, Firepower, FMC, Zone-Based Firewall, Clustering, and Cisco Security Manager (CSM).
Responsibilities:
You will provide technical support for security products to customers, partners, account teams, and other internal technical support teams
Handle a wide variety of technical support problems-from simple application or network configuration fixes to extremely complex troubleshooting and problem resolution
Utilize moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems
Submit complete and correct defect reports with collaboration and supervision
Work with minimal supervision and exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action
Collaborate with other TAC engineers across technology boundaries to help drive quicker resolution where multiple technologies may be involved
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have at least a CCNA in RS and/or Security
Candidates must have minimum of 2-5 years experience configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and debugging networks
Technical Qualifications:
You have fundamental working knowledge of the networking industry, products and protocols
Some level of experience is preferred in at least two of the following network security products, protocols, and solutions:
Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls & vASA
FTD, Firepower, FMC
Cisco IOS Firewall (Zone-Based Firewall), Clustering
Cisco Security Manager (CSM)
Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Linux, Unix
Wireshark and other tools for TCP/IP packet capture analysis
Server and appliance virtualization using VMWare, MS Hyper-V, and KVM
Python, Perl, Bash scripting skills would be an added advantage
