Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Quality Assurance Tester in the IT Software industry. This position is based in Richardson, Texas, 75082, United States. As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be actively involved in various stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, including requirement evaluation, test case development, execution of manual and automated test cases, and defect tracking and reporting.Responsibilities Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and team members to pinpoint areas for testing efficiency improvement, coverage expansion, and product reliability enhancement. Develop, write, and maintain automated test scripts adhering to best industry practices and standards, in addition to manual testing. Execute automated test suites and consistently communicate test status, including risks, issues, defects, and potential impacts. Ensure consistent operation of automation, promptly reporting on failures. Keep a record of test results to aid in the debugging and modification of software. Administer the tools used by the testing team and set them up as needed. Work with other team members to resolve any issues or defects. Facilitate and hold test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. Liaise with the business to understand reported issues, requirements, and expected behavior. Continually learn about quality best practices and technologies. Provide your own deliverable estimates. Design and implement test strategies for projects and estimate new test projects. Mentor others on quality methods and techniques. Participate in defining project objectives. Requirements Proficient in Selenium for automated testing. Solid understanding and experience in Java programming language. Demonstrated experience in API testing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the IT Software industry. Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively report bugs and other issues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently. Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven experience in identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly and tracking bugs. Familiarity with various testing tools and project management software.
