Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction within the program. Candidates must be able to teach lower division writing (“Writing and Cultural Studies”) and/or sophomore literature courses. The area of specialization is open. ABD or MA is required by the start date. In-classroom assignment of teaching can be made to the Edinburg or Brownsville campus, partnering campus, or all three, depending on the needs of the Department. The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
