About the Role
Arrow Capital Resources is seeking an experienced Cost Account Manager to oversee manufacturing and field construction cost control for our precast concrete operations and structural erection projects.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of cost accounting principles within both fabrication plants and active job sites, managing budgets, tracking production costs, and ensuring financial accuracy from casting to crane hook.
This role bridges the gap between the manufacturing floor and field operations, ensuring accurate tracking of labor, materials, and project costs for all precast concrete components and installations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor cost accounting functions for both manufacturing and erection projects.
Track raw material usage, labor hours, equipment utilization, and overhead allocation in precast production.
Prepare and maintain detailed job cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability summaries for plant and field work.
Collaborate with Plant Managers, Project Managers, and Field Supervisors to ensure cost integrity and transparency.
Develop and maintain accurate cost codes, budgets, and forecasts for production and installation phases.
Analyze actual vs. standard costs and identify areas for process improvement or cost recovery.
Support leadership in bidding, estimating, and future project forecasting.
Conduct monthly financial closeouts for manufacturing operations and project divisions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and industry-specific cost accounting standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction/Manufacturing Management (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in cost accounting for construction and/or manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience with precast concrete production, steel fabrication, or heavy construction preferred.
Strong understanding of job costing, overhead absorption, and inventory control.
Excellent analytical and communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work cross-functionally between office, plant, and jobsite teams.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with precast or structural steel manufacturing accounting.
Knowledge of project-based accounting and WIP (Work in Progress) reporting.
Skilled in Excel, Power BI, and cost analysis tools for management reporting.
Proven record of improving cost efficiency and financial visibility.
