Our building materials company is seeking to hire an Accounts Receivable Clerk to assist with billing, A/R, and data entry. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and possess excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. This role is an entry-level position, and the candidate will report directly to the Accounting Coordinator.Essential FunctionsWork with our warehouse team to invoice purchase orders.Confirm and add freight charges where applicable.Enter purchase orders into QuickBooks.Check, audit, and send invoices to customers.Verify customer pricing, discounts, and freight charges.Conduct collection calls and/or correspondence with all customers nationwide.Filing and basic clerical duties.Other ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Accounts Payable, and other departments.Qualifications1+ years of finance or accounting-related experience in a small to mid-sized company.Experience working with QuickBooks online.Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.Exceptional attention to detail.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent written communication skills.Highly organized with strong time management and prioritizing skills.Experience in data entry.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-timeTravelNo travel is expected for this position.Required Education and ExperienceAccounting experience: 1+ years (certified or a degree; verification is mandatory).Excel: 1+ years.References of prior work history with accounting, invoicing, and A/R are mandatory.Work EnvironmentThis position works in an office setting, with some exposure to the adjoining warehouse.
