Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to be part of our team situated in San Antonio, Texas. As an integral part of our team in the Construction/Contractor industry, your role will be to ensure accurate processing and recording of company's accounts payable, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and resolve A/P related issues. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records Resolve any arising Accounts Payable issues efficiently Reconcile sub-ledger to the General Ledger Efficiently process checks for clients Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed Ensure the correct matching, batching, and coding of accounts Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools in daily operations Perform Accrual Accounting and Auditing tasks when required Use ADP - Financial Services and Concur for various accounting functions Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar within the construction/contractor industry. Proficiency in accounting software systems. Experience with ADP - Financial Services. Familiarity with Concur expense management system. Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Ability to perform various accounting functions. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP). Understanding of Accrual Accounting. Auditing experience is required. Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum software. Ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
