Let’s partner to help the Federal Government achieve their mission to Climate Resilient Infrastructure and Operations.Short Overall Summary of Position : We are searching for an entrepreneurial self-starter with a hunter mentality who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a complex customer – the Federal Government. This role will report directly to the Head of Federal Government Business in Siemens Smart Infrastructure Federal Vertical.As part of this dynamic team, you will lead Air Force Business Development activities nationally within the Federal Vertical uncovering specific opportunities for Siemens Smart Infrastructure Regional Solutions & Services Americas products and services. You will generate new customer acquisition by driving early engagement directly with the Air Force. You will further develop and establish strong relationships across the Department of Air Force, engineering stakeholders, program offices, contracting personnel, A/E design firms, small businesses, strategic teaming partnerships and industry stakeholders. Working in full collaboration with sales executives, sales leadership, and executive management, you will develop sales opportunities and will manage and facilitate the preliminary stages of the sales cycle. You will be accountable for sales activities from lead generation through close in the Air Force, you will implement agreed upon strategic national plans to help meet and exceed annual targets.The Business Development Manager represents the entire range of Regional Solutions & Services Americas Business to the Air Force. The ideal candidate should be experienced in building automation, fire, security and services. They should have a passion and for Smart Buildings, Digitalization, AI and IoT for the Air Force. They will lead the End-User agency vision, strategy, account plan and roadmap for the Air Force.As an Air Force Business Development Manager, you will:

Develop account penetration strategies for new customer acquisition, new business development and new customer relationship management for the Department of Air Force.

Create and execute the Air Force strategic account plan with long term vision and tactical actions by understanding Air Force mission priorities, Air Force strategic initiatives and Air Force customer requirements to enable growth.

Build pipeline of new opportunities, strategic projects, strategic funding at installations along with revenue forecasting and execution of Air Force strategic account plan.

Lead early identification, qualification, and win strategy of new business opportunities along with Federal ecosystem partnerships to support sales executives.

Leverage product segment leadership to customize and co-create Building Automation, Fire and Security solutions to meet Air Force requirements. Develop strategy and business case to meet Air Force requirements and custom integrations when needed.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with Air Force end-users, Federal prime contractors, Federal A/E design firms and Small/Disadvantaged contractors that work with the Air Force.

Mentor, coach and support the sales executives as Air Force subject matter expertise during tactical close phase for Contract Vehicles, Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ) as needed for win strategy.

Advance Siemens as a thought leader in Digitalization of Buildings within Air Force industry associations and affiliations through speaking engagements, white papers, and advocacy with critical stakeholders.

Be proactive in communicating around all aspects of client and opportunity status and development with our larger team, collaborating and supporting across teams to deliver.

Provide sales presentations and product demonstrations to help solidify opportunities and meet sales quotas.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

Proven experience identifying and capturing new Air Force business centered around Facility Related Controls Systems

BA/BS or equivalent educational background, MBA preferred

10+ years’ experience in Federal Government Sales or Leadership positions

Unrestricted access to U.S. military bases is a plus

Knowledge of Systems Integration, IT/OT, IoT, AI, FedRAMP, RMF ATO, cybersecurity, CMMC

Knowledge of Federal procurement, Federal Government contract vehicles, FAR/DFAR

Understanding of Federal Small Business/Disadvantaged Business requirements and socioeconomic classifications

Entrepreneurial mindset with experience driving Leadership positions

Ability to build effective relationships and influence to drive results in matrix environment

Strong customer focus: ability to develop customer specific value propositions

The pay range for this position is $116,500 - $199,800. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location. This role also has 25% Incentive plan attached.
