JMT, is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.Position summary: Responsible for direct daily interaction with TxDOT ALD staff and leadership, requiring strong communication skills, organization, and time management. Your efforts are focused on the Alternative Delivery Projects in one or multiple stages of the project lifecycle. These include pre-procurement, procurement, Implementation, and Maintenance. ALD Projects utilize the Design Build method of delivery to deliver large-scale $250M to $4B transportation projects across Texas. While projects are statewide, this role can be staffed from any JMT office. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Working on Pre-procurement, Procurement phase of a projects life cycle,

Experience with Design Build Project Management Plans review,

Provide Programmatic recommendations and training on Implementation of a Design Build project,

Manage a Project Management task,

Direct coordination with ALD staff,

Coordination of project schedule and budget,

Project reporting to ALD, and

Teach staff about Design Build delivery

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering

10+ years of related experience in related projects.

Professional Engineer License

Experience with Design Build Transportation projects

Strong communications skills

Qualifications Preferred

Experience working with local clients at the state and federal level.

Working ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
