Come be a part of what makes us so special!The OpportunityAs a dedicated Business Strategy Analyst-Intermediate, you will apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to make connections between evolving industry trends, market developments, USAA’s strategic direction, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic trends for the business unit. Provides insights and information-based context for key team members in the business unit to optimally handle, influence, and impact line of business strategy.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:
Identifies and refines key business assumptions and hypotheses around line of business strategy factoring in recommendations from analysts.
Supports peer analysts in developing the analytical framework and blueprint to answer business questions identified in the business portfolio, product, or member experience.
Leverages data-driven problem-solving techniques to manipulate and interpret business results.
Assists with translating findings into insights for strategy management and execution.
Prepares supporting data and detailed material that helps communicate the significance of the strategic insights to senior leaders and other team members.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are optimally identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Science, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
2 years of experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting.
Foundational knowledge of project management.
Proven experience using data analytics to formulate data-driven insights.
Experience developing recommendations driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights.
Experience performing data analysis using various data analytics tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Adobe Analytics).
What sets you apart:
US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Understanding of P&C business operations to help translate business requirements to data enablement capabilities.
Experience with Enterprise Channel data to enhance the ability connect disparate data sources to enable P&C omni channel analytics.
Experience with P&C data to enhance the ability to identify relevant data sources and conduct meaningful analysis to provide data enablement capabilities.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable information to maintain data integrity.
Experience using SQL to perform analysis.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
