Collections Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in San Antonio, Texas. This role is within the industrial solutions industry and will involve managing and executing Accounts Receivable (AR), Bookkeeping, and Collections processes. The position requires collaboration with both internal and external customers to ensure timely and accurate payments.Responsibilities: Maintain and update records of Accounts Receivable (AR), collections, and outstanding balances Initiate and manage collection efforts and procedures Liaise with customers regarding overdue payments Conduct credit checks and address billing and customer credit issues Utilize Accounting Software Systems to record transactions and keep financial records Prepare reports detailing AR status using Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Monitor all receivables for irregularities, prepare, and generate aging reports Reconcile customer accounts and verify discrepancies by collaborating with internal stakeholders Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, and Billing Functions to ensure efficient collection processes Use CRM and Epic Software for maintaining customer records and managing accounts. Requirements Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with Accurint and ADP - Financial Services Experience with CRM and Epic Software Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Previous experience in answering inbound calls in a professional manner Understanding of Billing Functions and Claim Administration Familiarity with Collection Processes and Bookkeeping Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Excellent communication and negotiation skills Attention to detail and commitment to achieving set targets Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field would be advantageous.
