Position: ETL QA Lead/ ETL QA Testers with Performance Tuning Location: San Antonio, TX Duration: Long Term Must have ETL or data warehouse testing, String SQL, Performance Tuning experience Responsibilities: Work across multiple teams to define and implement end-end performance testing strategy and KPI’s to compare, measure and report
Lead the test assessment, creation of the test strategy, test plan, test schedule, test case development, execution, and fixing for both functional and non-functional testing requirements (i.e., performance, usability, penetration testing, etc.) in Agile.
Actively participate in agile release/sprint planning, user story creation, and acceptance criteria, leading to test case development on Snowflake, Data Build tool, Control-M
Define testing stories, acceptance criteria, test bed requirement, success criteria for EPICS, Features and Stories working closely with product owner, solution architect and the sprint teams using JIRA / DevOps
Continuously coach and mentor team to achieve the program goals and release commitment
Directly engage with development team, business analysts and product owner to understand requirements
Define, track and publish metrics including defects, defect counts, test results, test status, defect root cause analysis, mitigation plan on daily to stakeholders
Frequently communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to team members and management
Facilitate test execution status, defect meetings, manage work assignment and monitoring with global teams
Work with Product and Development teams to identify appropriate performance test requirements and plan testing for features and builds.
Drive continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of the testing by epic/feature.
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related technical discipline
6+ years hands-on experience in performance testing of data processing ETL/ELT tools and jobs in Agile framework.
6+ years of experience in writing complex T-SQL and performance tuning of queries.
6+ years of experience in working in data warehousing projects specially ELT
Experience in writing python / shell script a plus
Experience developing test strategy, test plans, test procedures, test data required for performance testing
Experience leading multiple projects and managing multiple teams.
