Description We are seeking a quick-thinking and detail-oriented HEDIS Nurse Chart Abstractor who is passionate about healthcare and improving service delivery through data analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and abstracting medical charts and clinical data to improve the collection and organization of data based on HEDIS specifications. They will also be responsible for assessing the quality and completeness of data, identifying gaps, and helping in the development of new data processes to improve overall HEDIS measures.Responsibilities:
Review and abstract selected medical records according to specific HEDIS measures guidelines within the designated time frame.
Utilize data reporting tools to identify variations in practices and performance.
Assist quality management and clinical teams in the development and execution of improvement strategies.
Participate in various HEDIS-related activities including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Serve as a HEDIS subject matter expert, providing pertinent and accurate information and guidance to team members.
Maintain confidentiality of patient data and adhere strictly to HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active license required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with HEDIS measures.
Familiarity with healthcare EHR systems.
Experience in data extraction, reporting, and analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and principles of medical record keeping.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
