We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Interventional Radiology Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Interventional Radiology scheduling and managing patient flow for all Interventional Radiology sites. Coordinates pre-registration efforts for all Interventional Radiology sites and ensures and maintains an excellent relationship between STRIC and referring physicians, patients, radiologists, technologists and ancillary STRIC staff. Works closely with the Facility Director, Facility Managers, and Interventional Radiology Technologists and Radiologists.Minimum Education and Experience:High School graduate (or GED) required; Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in a radiology/scheduling setting is required. Must possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. A functional command of Spanish language helpful. A working knowledge of health insurance and government programs is required.Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for continuous review of Interventional Radiology schedules for all STRIC sites. Corrects scheduling errors, creates appointment openings by moving appropriate patients to other time availability.

Maximizes use of all C-ARM Units and coordinates movement of patients to reduce wait time.

Tracks no shows and cancellations and notifies referring physicians office if patient has a follow up appointment prior to rescheduled exam.

Determines which films require interpretation by sub-specialized radiologist and coordinates dictation.

Submits ideas for improvements or changes needed to improve department operations.

Participates in Quality Assurance, collects and documents Q.A. data as assigned.
