Amentum is seeking cleared, part-time Security Communications Center Specialists to support secured facilities. The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Monitor in-house closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and alarm systems and provide assessment of security posture
Monitor and make notifications for all alarms received based on customized notification lists unique to each situation.
Document all actions taken in the alarm monitoring software, as well as in the daily operation log
Ensure all alarm-monitoring equipment, dispatch equipment and all closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) are in proper working order
Thoroughly document all calls in the daily operations log (DOL) software including the documentation of statistics on officer and local response, as well as any additional notifications made.
Ensure officer safety by maintaining complete and accurate officer tracking logs with officer movements, activities and radio identifiers
Monitor E911 calls made from within the agency. Think and act quickly, calmly, and accurately in emergency situations and under stressful circumstances
Dispatch First Responders to any and all emergency situations. Thoroughly document all calls, statistics, as well as any additional notifications made
Periodically perform duties as a floor trainer for incoming dispatcher trainees.
Minimum Requirements:
Must successfully complete the training prior to being selected for position.
High School Diploma or GED
U.S. citizen
Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing.
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) with polygraph.
Currently live within a 75-mile radius of San Antonio, TX.
0-2 years of similar Access Control experience in a secure environment.
Read, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
Ability to complete written reports and forms.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be available to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday, as determined by Amentum, per year.
Must commit to working one (1) weekend shift, every weekend.
Must be able to work 1st Shift: (5:30am - 1:30pm) (SHIFT +/- 1 hour), 2nd Shift: (1:30pm - 9:30pm) (SHIFT +/- 1 hour) or 3rd Shift: (9:30pm-5:30am) (SHIFT +/- 1 hour) based on contract needs; this work supports 24/7 operations, and you may be assigned challenging shifts, but it will be worth it!
Physical requirements:
You need to be physically able to perform all duties and functions as specified;
You need to see well and be able to prove it. You should have 20/20 vision (with glasses and contacts if needed) and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes;
You need to be free of color blindness;
You should have normal fields of vision and good depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart;
You need to be able to have hearing which is correctable to normal level hearing with hearing aids. Normal hearing levels are demonstrated by a pure tone audiometry hearing level (HL) of 0 decibels (dB) or lower; and
You need to be able to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time.
