Summary of Role:
It is the Panadero Assistants role to be responsible for preparing food products in adherence to La Familia Cortez Restaurants high quality and sanitation standards. Strict adherence to standardized recipes is critical and must be maintained at all times. Other duties, responsibilities and requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements:
Experienced in making of Mexican Pan Dulce (pastries)
Assist with preparation, cooking, baking, packing;
Assist in the preparation of bread, cookies, cupcakes, and pan dulces;
Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner;
Understands kitchen equipment and the operation of the equipment;
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant;
Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized;
Handles, stores, and rotates all food items properly;
Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills;
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas;
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Bakery Supervisor.
